None Such Mince Meat Pie Filling — 1951 (Thanksgiving)

I took an informal poll the other day on the popularity of mincemeat pie, and the overwhelming majority of friends had either never heard of it or had heard of it but never tasted it. That’s a damn shame. It’s always been a traditional Thanksgiving pie in my family. This ad shows that “beef” was still an ingredient in 1951. (You’d be hard-pressed to find a prepared mince pie filling with actual “meat” in it these days.)
